"Supergirl: Legion Of Super-Heroes"

Take a look @ new footage, plus images from the "Supergirl' episode "Legion Of Super-Heroes" airing January 15, 2017 on The CW:


'The Legion of Super-Heroes' was originally created by writer Otto Binder and illustrator Al Plastino for DC Comics', debuting in "Adventure Comics" #247 (April 1958).


References to the team include "The Flash" episode "Welcome to Earth-2", 'as Barry', 'Cisco' and 'Wells' are traveling to 'Earth-2', where glimpses of the 'Multiverse' are seen, including an image of a 'Legion flight ring'.


A Legion flight ring also appears in the "Supergirl" episode "Solitude", as one of the objects inside the 'Fortress of Solitude'.


In the "Supergirl" season 3 episode "Wake Up", 'Mon-El' returns and introduces Legion member 'Saturn-Girl.

Disney Buying "X-Men", "Wolverine" and "Deadpool"

According to reports, a deal between Disney, the home of Marvel Studios and 21st Century Fox is emerging, with Disney as the lead media company to purchase select 21st Century Fox film assets, including gaining back screen rights to Marvel's "X-Men", "Deadpool", "Fantastic Four", "Wolverine" and a whole lot more:


The deal comes amid consolidation in the media industry, as AT&T battles the US Department of Justice to seal its $85 billion purchase of Time Warner, parent company of DC Comics and ratings failure CNN...


...as stories circulate in the media about CNN head Jeff Zucker, covering up allegations about disgraced news anchor Matt Lauer while both were at NBC.


The DOJ has indicated it is not opposed to a potential deal for assets between 21st Century Fox and Disney, that could range north of $60 billion.

"Arrow" - Did 'Arsenal' Get The Shaft ?

After a prolonged absence, The CW has confirmed actor Colton Haynes will return to "Arrow" in a reprisal of his role as crime-fighting vigilante archer 'Roy Harper', aka 'Arsenal':


"We're thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year", according to "Arrow" executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle. 


"Roy is called back to 'Star City' to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences."


'Roy Harper' debuted in the Season One "Arrow" episode 'Dodger' as a thief who steals the purse of 'Thea Queen'. 


Eventually they reconcile and start dating. When 'Oliver' saves Roy's life in "Salvation", he gains an active interest in the vigilante known as the 'Hood' and wants to emulate him. Roy continues to act as a recurring character throughout the rest of the season and becomes a series regular in Season Two.


Throughout the Season, Roy fights crime in acts of vigilantism, before he is captured and injected with the super-soldier drug 'Mirakuru', enhancing his physical capabilities...


...giving him new strength and healing, able to punch through solid wood and recover from being shot at point-blank range- but also causing his behavior to become hostile and violent. 


Oliver approaches Roy as Arrow' and offers to train him, to control his physical and mental performance. Eventually Roy learns the Arrow's identity and officially joins 'Team Arrow'. 


In the episode "Birds of Prey", Oliver calls Roy his sister's nickname 'Speedy'. Roy is not too pleased by this and tells Oliver not to call him that.


By the end of Season Two, Roy is cured of the Mirakuru and Oliver gives him a red domino mask. Roy chooses to fight by Oliver's side to save the city from the army of 'Slade Wilson', hoping to achieve redemption, but at the cost of his relationship with Thea.


Roy assumes the name 'Arsenal', in a red version of Oliver's costume and equipment in Season 3 of "Arrow". Oliver suggests the name 'Arsenal' after an antagonist refers to him as 'another weapon in Oliver's arsenal'.


"If we end this show, without seeing 'Roy Harper' again, I think we will have made a tragic mistake", said "Arrow" series star Stephen Amell.

Actors Ratify 'British Columbia Master Production Agreement'

Members of UBCP/ACTRA have ratified a new 'British Columbia Master Production Agreemen't (BCMPA) negotiated with the 'Canadian Affiliates of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers' (AMPTP) and the 'Canadian Media Producers Association – BC Producers Branch' (CMPA-BC):

"...the new Agreement includes improvements for performer compensation on productions made for 'New Media', as well as enhanced protections for performers who experience fatigue at the end of their work day. The deal was unanimously endorsed by the bargaining committee and the Union’s Executive Board and will take effect April 1, 2018..."

"The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" - Casting Call

Take a look @ a new casting breakdown revealing lead characters from the upcoming live-action TV series "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", based on the "Archie" Comics characters, that will move to Netflix from The CW, with a commitment of 20 episodes over two seasons:


The new series will be based on writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's new comic book series, delving into the occult origins of 'Sabrina', as the teen reconciles her dual nature of being half-witch and half-mortal while protecting her family and the world from the forces of evil.


'SABRINA SPELLMAN' (SERIES LEAD): Female, Open ethnicity, legal 18 or 18+ to play 16. Sabrina is an empowered young woman, half-human, half-witch, struggling to reconcile her dual natures. She is just beginning her dark education as a sorceress, even as she tries to maintain some semblance of a normal life as a sophomore at Baxter High. Sabrina is intelligent, compassionate and brave to the point of recklessness. 


"She challenges witch-doctrine at every turn. She is fiercely loyal to her family and friends; wickedly funny; and in the middle of a star-crossed romance with her classmate 'Harvey Kinkle'. Sabrina is all that stands between us and the 'Forces of Darkness' that threaten our world.


'HILDA SPELLMAN' (SERIES REGULAR) : Female, late 30s to early 40s, All Ethnicities. Hilda is one of the 'Spellman' sisters who are raising Sabrina, though her nurturing nature belies a more ruthless side. She is a healer, a potion-maker, sweet-as-pie until you cross her or anyone she leaves. Operating the local funeral home, the sisters hide their witchery from the world while teaching Sabrina spells and incantations at home.


'ZELDA SPELLMAN' (SERIES REGULAR): Female, late 30's to early 40's, All Ethnicities. Zelda is the harsher of the Spellman sisters who helped raise Sabrina, though her sternness and tough facade might be hiding a more…mothering soul.

"The 100" Season 5

Take a look at new footage, plus images from Season 5 of the post-apocalyptic science fiction drama TV series "The 100", based on the book by Kass Morgan, airing in 2019 on The CW:


The series follows post apocalypse survivors, including 'Clarke Griffin' (Eliza Taylor), 'Bellamy Blake' (Bob Morley), 'Octavia Blake' (Marie Avgeropoulos), 'Jasper Jordan' (Devon Bostick), 'Monty Green' (Christopher Larkin), 'Raven Reyes' (Lindsey Morgan), 'Finn Collins' (Thomas McDonell), 'John Murphy' (Richard Harmon) and 'Wells Jaha' (Eli Goree).



They are among the first people from space habitat 'The Ark', to return to Earth after a nuclear apocalypse. The series also focuses on 'Dr. Abby Griffin' (Paige Turco), 'Marcus Kane' (Henry Ian Cusick) and 'Thelonious Jaha' (Isaiah Washington).



"For four seasons, 'The 100' have fought to survive. That fight has torn them apart, turned them against each other, and taken the lives of their closest friends. 'Season Four' introduced The 100 to the harsh truth that the human race is doomed to face an unbeatable enemy: the remaining nuclear reactors on Earth have melted down and are setting the atmosphere on fire.
