According to Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer of "Supergirl", the series has cast a popular actor to play 'Kal-El', aka 'Superman', the cousin of 'Kara' aka 'Supergirl', who will appear in new CW episodes:
Actor Tyler Hoechlin ("Teen Wolf", "Road To Perdition") will play DC Comics' iconic hero, complete with a classic comic book red and blue costume.
"...I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages," said Kreisberg, "so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is 'Superman'.
"We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character."
