Fox has picked up executive producer J.J. Abrams' Vancouver-lensed science fiction dramatic pilot "Almost Human", as a new cop procedural action series.
Based on the pilot directed by Brad Anderson, "Amost Human" will be ready for the 2013-14 season.
Cast includes Karl Urban, Michael Ealy and Lili Taylor, set 35 years in the future, "...when police officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids..."
Ealy plays an 'android cop', with 'emotional responses' as he and his partner investigate cases.
